Ingredients

Units Scale
  • For the Pork Chops:
    • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
    • Salt and pepper, to taste
    • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • For the Garlic Parmesan Sauce:
    • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 4 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1/2 cup chicken broth
    • 1/4 cup dry white wine (optional)
    • 1 cup heavy cream
    • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1 teaspoon dried basil
    • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
    • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pork Chops:
    • Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel and season with salt and pepper.
    • Dredge the pork chops lightly in flour, shaking off any excess.
  2. Cook the Pork Chops:
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
    • Sear the pork chops for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce:
    • In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
    • Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
    • Stir in onion powder, chicken broth, and white wine (if using), scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
    • Reduce heat to low and mix in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, basil, parsley, and oregano. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Combine:
    • Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them.
    • Cover and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes or until the pork chops are cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  5. Serve:
    • Serve the pork chops warm, topped with the creamy garlic Parmesan sauce. Pair with mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a crisp salad.
