- 8 slices sourdough bread
- 8 slices sharp cheddar cheese
- 8 slices crispy bacon
- 1 Granny Smith apple, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side of 4 slices, spread Dijon mustard. Layer with 2 slices of cheddar cheese, 2 slices of bacon, and apple slices.
- Top with another slice of bread, buttered side out.
- Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve hot.
